Using these warmups
These warmups do not replace fundamental teaching; rhythmic literacy, fundamental tone production, etc. are taught separately from these note and long tone concepts.
Each warmup includes a "new note(s)" portion at the top where students must write the note letter name(s) and fill in the corresponding finger chart(s).
The ① line of each warmup is whole notes of every pitch students have learned. Take time having students showing the correct fingers and naming the pitch names separate from playing this line.
Following lines provide long tone, lip slur, and scale exercises.
